| 内容記述 | 折口信夫は年中行事に強い関心を持ち、それに関する論考を数多く発表した。「民俗学上より見た五月の節供」は、五月初め頃に行われた近代の習俗を古代の「成年戒」の習俗と結びつけ、それはいかなるものかを解明し、端午習俗における信仰内容及び行事の変遷を論述した代表作の一つである。子どもの成長を祈願する端午習俗を「成年戒」の名残として捉え、端午習俗の由来や変遷を解釈している。しかし、端午の節供研究において、折口説についてあまり論及されていない。そこで、本稿は、年中行事における折口の論理のもとで、端午の節供が「成年戒」に関係する部分が大きいという折口の指摘に注目しながら、成年戒と端午の節句に関する折口の考え方の特徴を検討することを目的とする。「成年戒」に関する折口の研究の整理を行うとともに、五月の節供に関する柳田国男の所説との比較を踏まえ、成年戒要素を有する中国の端午習俗の事例を取り上げ、折口説の有効性を検証する。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Shinobu Orikuchi had a strong interest in annual events and published many essays on the subject. "The Japanese Boys' Festival from a Folklore Perspective" is one of his representative works that links modern customs performed around the beginning of May with the ancient customs of the "Coming of Age Precepts." elucidates what they are, and discusses the changes in the beliefs and events in the Japanese Boys' Festival.He interprets the origin and changes in the Japanese Boys' Festival,regarding the Japanese Boys' Festival as a vestige of the "Coming of Age Precepts." However, Orkuchi's theory has not been discussed much in research on the Japanese Boys' Festival.Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristics of Orikuchi's thinking on the Coming of Age Precepts and the Japanese Boys' Festival, based on Orikuchi's logic in annual events, and to focus on Orikuchi's point that the Japanese Boys' Festival is largely related to the "Coming of Age Precepts." This paper summarizes Orikuchi's research on the "coming-of-age precepts," and compares them with Kunio Yanagita's theory on the Japanese Boys' Festival. It also examines the validity of Orikuchi's theory by taking up the example of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, which contain elements of coming-of-age precepts. | |||||||
